Alan Zakin is Principal of Alan Zakin Associates; a Public Relations and Marketing firm that 

specializes in Community and Government Affairs.  Alan Zakin Associates has successfully 

implemented programs for numerous government, not-for-profit and corporate organizations.  

Alan Zakin combines his government and public relations experience with extensive hands-on 

political experience, and established AZA in order to help enable entities to meet their policy, 

community, and eleemosynary goals.   

 

Mr. Zakin has personally provided strategic political advice, fundraising assistance and campaign 

marketing services to numerous federal, state, and local organizations.  He has been engaged by 

organizations including municipal, county and federal government agencies, numerous Fortune 

500 companies, and nonprofit organizations in areas as diverse as public policy, healthcare, 

libraries and museums.

He also has worked on political campaigns from U.S. President and U.S. Congress to the 

state legislature, county and local office.  Mr. Zakin held the position of Assistant to the President 

for Public Relations and Government Affairs for AMNI America (now CBS Outdoor), a National 

Outdoor Advertising Company.  In this capacity, he handled outdoor advertising issues before 

the U. S. Congress and community relations programs for their municipal clients.  

A graduate of Rutgers University Law School-Newark, and the University of Richmond, 

Mr. Zakin serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Baruch College School of Business in 

New York City and he is “Of Counsel” to the Florham Park, NJ law firm of Azzolini and 

Benedetti where he has a specialty in government and not-for-profit law.  Mr. Zakin and his 

wife have one young son.

Tina Boyer is Project Manager for Alan Zakin Associates.  Tina previously served as Public 

Relations Assistant for the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center in West Orange, NJ where 

she handled the press and public relations services. She has also held the position of Clerk for 

the Morris County Department of Planning and Development in Morristown, NJ where she was 

involved with county planning and preservation issues. Tina is experienced in client relations, 

event planning, fundraising and project management. Ms. Boyer received her Bachelor’s Degree 

in Public Relations from Montclair State University.

Amy Bryan has been creative director and editor for Alan Zakin Associates since 1997.  Ms. 

Bryan has created a wide range of pieces for the non-profit, corporate and government clientele.  

Her work has included brochures, direct mail pieces, invitations, video productions, newsletters, 

letterhead and logos.  Ms. Bryan is highly skilled in assorted graphics applications for Macintosh 

and IBM computers including Quark Xpress, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator 

and Microsoft Office.  She is also experienced in html editing software such as Flash and 

Dreamweaver, and has extensive ability and experience with commercial writing and editing in 

various fields including medical, printing, private consulting, telecommunications and political.

Jhanna brings over 15 years of experience in fundraising, special event planning, marketing and 

public relations to Alan Zakin Associates.  For the last seven years, Ms. Even has worked on AZA’s 

not-for-profit practice; assisting with the preparation of feasibility studies, grant requests and 

capital campaigns.  Prior to her time at AZA, Ms. Even was Director of a New York-based 

community relations organization, where she was engaged in fund-raising and public relations 

efforts.  Ms. Even holds an MA in International Relations, American University in Washington, DC.
